MEMPHIS, Tenn. — This weekend, shafts designed and manufactured by True Temper Sports claimed victories at the PGA TOUR’s World Golf Championship – Bridgestone Invitational and Turning Stone Resort Championship and the Nationwide’s Wichita Open.

The Bridgestone champion shot a 64 on Sunday with Dynamic Gold shafts in his irons to win the tournament and secure a spot on the U.S. Ryder Cup team. Also playing Dynamic Gold in his irons, the Turning Stone Resort champion shot a 6-under 66 to deliver a dramatic, come-from-behind victory and his first PGA TOUR win.

Meanwhile on the Nationwide Tour, the young Wichita Open champion fired a 20-under par with Project X in his irons and the new Project X graphite shaft in his 5-wood to get his first victory.

“With Dynamic Gold and Project X, True Temper has won an amazing 33 events this season on the PGA TOUR,” says Chad Hall, director of global tour operations for True Temper Sports. “Each week, these shafts are in the bags of not only the tournament champions and the majority of the top 10 finishers, but also the players throughout the entire field. Just this week, we had 70 sets in play at the Bridgestone Invitational, 111 sets at the Turning Stone Championship and 145 sets at the Wichita Open. These counts are a clear demonstration of True Temper’s leadership position on the global tours.”

Dynamic Gold is the top-selling shaft in golf and is preferred by skilled players seeking a low, penetrating ball flight. It is available in tapered and parallel irons and parallel woods. The straight taper and short tip section of the Project X iron shafts — available in tapered and parallel tip — provides maximum energy transfer with low spin rates required for penetrating iron shots. By combing this design platform with eight premium graphite materials, the Project X wood and hybrid shafts are quickly becoming known as the lowest spinning graphite shafts available. The Project X graphite shaft is available in woods and hybrids.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Designed on tour to produce maximum distance and accuracy, Project X shafts garnered wins at The Greenbrier Classic on the PGA Tour and the Irish Open on the European Tour. The double victory showcased the Tour-proven technology of Project X steel shafts and the all-new, spin-reducing Project X wood shafts.

This weekend’s winner of The Greenbrier Classic played Project X shafts in his irons and became only the fifth PGA TOUR player to reach the low-round record of 59. He carded nine birdies and an eagle in his final round to earn the 31st win of the year on the PGA Tour for shafts designed and manufactured by True Temper Sports.

Playing the new Project X graphite shafts in his driver and 3-wood and Dynamic Gold shafts in his irons, the Irish Open champion averaged drives of 308 yards en route to a tournament record-tying score of 266.

“Project X is one of the most successful shaft brands in the history of the game, and this year’s debut success for the Project X graphite line has been a phenomenal testament to the superior performance characteristics of these shafts,” says Craig Nichols, PGA Tour Representative for True Temper Sports. “Already the winningest graphite wood shaft in 2010 on the PGA Tour, our win at the Irish Open marks the ninth win of the season and highlights the momentum that is spreading around the globe for Project X graphite.”

True Temper continues to dominate the professional tours. At The Greenbrier Classic, True Temper led the shaft count with 133 iron sets in play, while competing shaft manufacturers fielded only 12 sets.

The new Project X graphite shaft features a unique tapered design that maximizes a player’s distance through the precise integration of frequency, weight distribution and launch profiles. The new shaft combines a stable butt section with a constant taper bend profile and reinforces the tip with two additional wraps of super high modulus graphite in the lower third of the golf shaft. The result is a reduction of spin by up to 700 RPM more than other low-spin Tour model competitors. Project X graphite shafts are available in woods and hybrids.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — With one of the greatest driving performances in the history of Major Championship golf, Project X Graphite shafts delivered the resounding victory at the 2010 British Open Championship. The win locked up the third consecutive major title of the year for Project X shafts, which are now the preferred choice for the best golfers throughout the world.

This year’s Claret Jug winner played the new Project X graphite shaft in his driver and fairway woods to lead the field in driving accuracy with an astounding 86 percent of fairways hit and averaging more than 319 yards per drive. He shot a closing 71 on Sunday that gave him a seven-shot victory — only two strokes off from the largest victory margin in British Open history.

“To win your first major at St. Andrews is really outstanding, and we are excited that Project X graphite shafts could be a part of such a remarkable victory,” says Scott Hennessy, president and CEO of True Temper Sports. “The win at the British Open firmly cemented our new Project X shaft as the winningest graphite shaft of the 2010 PGA Tour, and proved it can deliver the unparalleled distance and accuracy needed to win a major.”

Project X shafts have a long history of winning on the professional tours and particularly at major events. Previously this year, Project X iron shafts delivered victories at the Masters Tournament and the U.S. Open.

The new Project X graphite shaft, designed and manufactured by True Temper, features a unique tapered design that maximizes a player’s distance, and a reinforced tip that reduces spin by up to 500 RPM more than other low-spin Tour model shafts. Project X graphite shafts are available in woods and hybrids.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Providing tour-proven accuracy and consistency, shafts by True Temper Sports scored a terrific triple victory this weekend on the PGA, European and Nationwide Tours.

At the John Deere Classic, the PGA TOUR champion played Project X shafts in his irons to score more birdies than any other player and to win the event by shooting a dramatic 26 strokes under par. Project X shafts also proved to be the force to be reckoned with in Europe at The Scottish Open. The winner played Project X graphite shafts in his driver, fairway woods and hybrid as did the event’s fan favorite runner up who scored an all important invitation to next week’s British Open by using Project X shafts not only in his driver, but throughout his entire bag. The final victory in the triad of wins came on the Nationwide Tour, as the winner of the Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic played Dynamic Gold shafts to top the event’s money list.

“Every tour win is a testament to the countless hours of designing, engineering and testing that goes into perfecting True Temper shafts,” says Scott Hennessy, president and CEO of True Temper Sports. “When you look at the numbers—137 sets in play at the John Deere Classic, 143 sets at the Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic and more than 100 Project X graphite shafts in play across all three tours—there is no doubt Dynamic Gold and Project X are preferred by the best players in golf.”

The straight taper and short tip section of the Project X iron shafts — available in tapered and parallel tip — provides maximum energy transfer with low spin rates required for penetrating iron shots. The new Project X graphite shaft combines a stable butt section with a constant taper bend profile and reinforces the tip to reduce spin by up to 500 RPM more than other low-spin Tour model competitors.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The 4th of July weekend’s AT&T National champion won for the second time this season with Project X shafts throughout his bag. He relied on the new Project X graphite shafts in his driver and fairway woods and Project X steel shafts in his irons to finish at 10-under 270 and moved up to No. 2 in the FedExCup standings. The AT&T National marked the seventh consecutive win and 26th season win on the PGA TOUR for shafts designed and manufactured by True Temper Sports. The victory was another outstanding showing for Project X shafts, and particularly for the all-new Project X graphite shafts which have garnered seven PGA TOUR victories since its debut late last year. “Each week, more and more players on the PGA, Nationwide and European Tours are relying on our new Project X graphite shaft to deliver the winning results the Project X brand is famous for,” says Scott Hennessy, president and CEO of True Temper Sports. “Project X graphite shafts have similar bend and stiffness profiles as Project X irons, with the added benefits of lightweight graphite and distance control for maximum player performance. It’s a winning combination that’s giving longer carry and increased rollout performance for the world’s best players.” Overall, the shaft count at the AT&T National proved again that True Temper shafts are the most popular among PGA Tour professionals. According to the numbers, there were 106 sets of True Temper shafts in play at the AT&T Championship and nine of the top 10 finishers had shafts by True Temper throughout their bags. The straight taper and short tip section of the Project X iron shafts — available in tapered and parallel tip — provides maximum energy transfer with low spin rates required for penetrating iron shots.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — On a Pebble Beach course described as “fast and fiery”, Project X shafts delivered superior consistency and accuracy to win the 2010 U.S. Open. It was the second straight major win of the 2010 season for Project X shafts.

This year’s U.S. Open champion played Project X in his irons to become the first European in 40 years to win the event. The latest addition to the Project X family, Project X graphite, had a dominate showing at the U.S Open with four shafts in the bags of the Top 10 finishers, and 29 shafts in play among the entire field.

“The U.S. Open is renowned for presenting challenging courses, and Project X proved once again it can deliver consistency and accuracy at one of the toughest global golf tournaments on record,” says Scott Hennessy, president and CEO of True Temper Sports. “The U.S. Open is characterized by tight scoring so players rely on their irons and drivers to provide maximum performance. That’s one major reason why True Temper, with 138 sets in play, outnumbered all other shaft manufacturers combined in the U.S. Open shaft count. We also saw our largest number of Project X graphite shafts in play to date on the PGA TOUR, and we expect this number to continue to grow throughout the rest of the season.”

The straight taper and short tip section of the Project X iron shafts provides maximum energy transfer with low spin rates required for penetrating iron shots. By combing this design platform with eight premium graphite materials, the Project X wood and hybrid shafts are quickly becoming known as the lowest spinning graphite shafts available.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — High-performance Project X steel shafts delivered another victory at the John Deere Classic in a field deemed the best ever at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. Playing Project X shafts, the champion tied the course record on Saturday by shooting a second round 61 and then fired third- final rounds on Sunday of 68 and 64, respectively, to finish with 20-under 264 and a three-stroke victory.

The win marked the 26th PGA TOUR victory this season for golf shafts manufactured by True Temper Sports. In addition to the champion, 100 percent of the Top 10 finishers at the John Deere Classic relied on products designed and manufactured by True Temper Sports, the number one shaft company in the world.

“Project X steel shafts feature a constant taper design that delivers more energy to the ball, one of the many performance benefits that has made Project X shafts so popular among top tour professionals worldwide,” says Scott Hennessy, president and CEO of True Temper Sports. “We congratulate the new John Deere champion on a terrific victory and we look forward to continuing to support the best players in the world with the industry’s most sophisticated shaft designs.”

Project X and Rifle shafts are two of the most popular golf shafts played on the world tours today. So far during the 2009 season, Project X and Rifle shafts have claimed wins at Mercedes-Benz Championship, Northern Trust Open, World Golf Championships (WGC) Accenture Match Play, The Honda Classic, WGC-CA Doral Invitational, Transitions Championship, Shell Houston Open, The Masters Tournament, Verizon Heritage, Crowne Plaza Invitational, St. Jude Classic and the John Deere Classic.

Project X steel shafts feature a unique variable taper design with a dedicated taper rate for each shaft in the set. Longer taper rate results in more energy transfer to the ball for a faster and flatter penetrating trajectory. The introduction of Project X driver and hybrid shafts will allow golfers to benefit from Project X shaft technologies from driver through wedge.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One of the most successful shaft brands in the history of the game, Project X delivered wins on the PGA, European and Nationwide Tours this weekend. The three-tour sweep widened the gap between True Temper and all other shaft manufacturers combined as True Temper marked its 21st PGA Tour win, 14th European Tour win and ninth Nationwide Tour win this season.

This week’s champion on the PGA TOUR overcame a four-shot deficit on Sunday to win The Memorial Tournament with Project X shafts throughout his entire bag, including the new Project X graphite shafts in his driver and fairway woods with Project X 7.0 steel shafts in his irons. Equally dramatic, this week’s victor at the Celtic Manor Wales Open won his 50th European Tour event, while playing Project X shafts in his irons; and the ‘Big Break’ alumni won the Prince George’s County Open on the Nationwide Tour with Project X shafts in his irons.

True Temper continues to lead the field on the professional tours. At The Memorial, nine of the players finishing in the Top 10 played shafts designed by True Temper. Plus, True Temper led the shaft count with 102 iron sets in play on the PGA Tour and 143 sets in play on the Nationwide Tour.

“This season, True Temper has led every single iron shaft count on the PGA, Nationwide and European tour, and we continue to see our graphite numbers rise dramatically in the wood counts,” says Scott Hennessy, president and CEO of True Temper Sports. “This is in large part a result of the popularity and success of our new Project X graphite shaft. Just this week alone, we had over 100 Project X graphite shafts in play across the global tours, and with this weekend’s win at The Memorial, we expect that number to continue to escalate throughout the rest of the season.”

Already a multiple winner on the pro tours, True Temper’s new Project X graphite shaft features a unique tapered design that maximizes a player’s distance through the precise integration of frequency, weight distribution and launch profiles. The new shaft combines a stable butt section with a constant taper bend profile and reinforces the tip with two additional wraps of super high modulus graphite in the lower third of the golf shaft. The result is a reduction of spin by up to 500 RPM more than other low-spin Tour model competitors. Project X graphite shafts are available in woods and hybrids.

Here’s a review of the Project X Graphite Shaft from yourallinclusivegolfvacation.com

We are going to kick off our 2010 shaft reviews a little early with the new Project X Graphite driver shaft has been a major highlight and somewhat of a pleasant surprise for True Temper. It was a first-time winner on the PGA tour recently at Volvo World Match Play. The Project X Shaft is one of the most wonderful additions in golf and it continues to make news.

Where do we start – all I can say is this shaft will become very popular – we predict. Some of the PGA tour players who are using the shaft are Bo Van Pelt, Camillo Vegas, David Toms and Jason Gore. True Temper introduced the Project X Graphite driver and hybrid at the same time since they come from the same mold.

Both the Project X Graphite driver and hybrid are engineered using the Zonal Design Theory or ZDT. This is a True Temper proprietary technology which divides the shaft into three distinct zones. The Butt, Mid and tip sections make up the three zones, with each optimized for performance using a design technology specific to the zone.

Butt Section is made up of sectional stability minimizing energy from a Hex-Axial Reinforcement Technology. This technology ultimately is responsible for minimizing energy loss from “ovalization.”

Mid Section is designed for even loading and unloading for maximum energy transfer.

Tip Section is Elongated for a firmer tip which minimizes Droop and Lag and reduces spin.

Here’s what Players are saying about the Project X Graphite-

“WOW! Better distance and dispersion than the RIP 70x… I LOVE the Project X!!!”

“Put an X7A3 in my Nike Tour Square. -400 rpms Backspin added 11 yards..tighter dispersion & better LM #’s than Oban Devotion 7″

Pros/Positives
No doubt about it, the Project X graphite is a high-end shaft that better players will love. For players looking for a strong angle of attack, the ultra low spin and the stiff tip point will allow players to make follow through drives without losing them.

Cons/Negatives
A fairly small market, geared for strong players or at least better players.

Overvall Rating
The Project X Graphite shaft will be without a doubt, one of the more popular shafts for 2010 – “The Evolution and Innovation never stop.” Even though it was introduced this year, it will really take off in 2010′ as a shaft for better players looking to optimize their ball flight and reduce spin. Look out!
